My son's MacBook Pro is connected to the Internet, but when he scans using Webroot Secure Anywhwere, he gets this message: The scan failed. SecurityAnywhere cannot reach the internet to obtain threat information.
What do we need to do to have the software recognize that there is Internet access?
I'm guessing uninstall and re-install, but I'm open to suggestions.

Yes, I would most definitively go with the uninstall /reinstall, and if you need guidance on the unistall for the Mac please see this previous post.
