Malware in Corel's Visual Studio?

From my research I have found this below:
 
Adware:win32/DealPly it’s technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits, such as rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experience. The industry generally refers to it as a “PUP,” or potentially unwanted program.
The Adware:win32/DealPly infection is designed specifically to make money. It generates web traffic, collects sales leads for other dubious sites, and will display advertisements and sponsored links within your web browser.
 
So I would Supmit a Support Ticket and they can check this out for you.This is a free service with your Webroot subscription.
They usually respond within 24-48 hours.

I thought it might be good to provide an update on this issue.  Mostly, it seems resolved though it is not clear to me what exactly happened. 
 
I was advised by Webroot support to uninstall Webroot and re-install it.  I asked whether this meant that Webroot was giving a false positive but did not get a clear answer.  However, I did remove Webroot and then re-installed from a fresh download - so quite likely I installed different software.   Then I downloaded fresh installation files from Corel; they were a different size than what I had downloaded before so apparently they had changed.  That installation went without any malware notice, though there was still a warning that something had gone wrong in the installation.  Visual Studio does seem to work now, however.

Thanks for the update...it is indeed possible that you installed a different version of WSA than the one that you had when false positive (if we can call it that now) came up. And given that WSA also uses a local 'component' which is part of the installed WSA client, for malware detection it is possible that that had changed, plus the Webroot Cloud may well have been updated by the time that you came to redownlaod and install the Corel software?
 
In the end it is probably some combination that we will never truly understand but the key thing is that you are basically sorted as of now. :D
