How to safely remove 2015 after 2016 activation

I recently purchased a 2016 annual seat to replace Webroot 2015 seat. I'm attaching a.jpg for reference to remove any portions of the old version as to not cross contaminate the products.

Right Click on the Webroot Tray Icon down by the clock and Open the main interface via View Status:

Then go here in Advance settings and put a check mark in this box and save! http://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/forums/forumtopicpage/board-id/Getting_connected/message-id/33158#M33158

And that should put a Webroot Icon on your desktop.

Thanks,

Daniel ;)

Hello ? and Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Without being able to see the image posted (which would require moderator approval), I can say that it's ok to install any new version 'on top of' previous version, and you say you've activated the new keycode. Is that the case, and you're seeing the correct license details, days remaining etc.?

There is no need to uninstall any previous version, if I understand correctly what you're asking.

Please see this other advice about activation, and let us know of any questions, thanks.  https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Complete/Activating-new-keycode/m-p/73873#M5332

Activate a New Keycode KB

Just to add, if you wish to do a clean reinstall, please follow this advice.
Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish its install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,

Just to add can you tell us the version number you have installed?

https://community.webroot.com/t5/Announcements-and-Release-Notes/PC-Agent-Release-Notes-for-Version-9-0-8-100-Released-May10th/m-p/253461

Also Webroot doesn't use the year anymore as it continues to update to the latest version with an active subscription in this case you should have v9.0.8.100 installed.

Thanks,

Daniel ;)

The version Daniel mentioned is the version I purchased. I followed the clean install and there isn't a desktop console as before, is that a seperate add on virus protection situation I need to consider?
