Webroot add-on locking up web pages

I am using Windows 8.1 with IE11.
About a week ago I started having problems with webpages locking up, pretty much all of them. I had to log out and log back in several times to get some of them to work occasionally. These included eBay, my internet providers homepage, my email, etc.
When I enquired about this problem on the internet the answer was to check add-ons. I loaded windows with add-ons blocked and it worked fine.
I went down the list and disabled each add-on one at a time to try and stop the problem, which none of them did.
The only one I could not disable was Webroot Filtering Extensions.
I went to troubleshooting Internet Explorer and after it ran it said the Webroot Filtering Extension Add-On was causing the problem.
I went to the Webroot Site and found out how to disable Webroot and did so. The system worked fine after that. I enabled Webroot and the problem is back.
I did a check for updates on Webroot and it said these were automatic on the cloud.
Is there a fix for this?
By the way, I may have filed a trouble ticket for this, I do not know if it went throught since that web page locked up also.  Just like this one has a couple of times.

Hello debracrow,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I believe if you do a clean uninstall/reinstall of Webroot to fix these issues.

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue? If you are still having problems then please Submit a Support Ticket and they can resolve this for you. This is a free service with a Webroot subscription.

Hope this helps?

Well, reloading Webroot did not make it go away, just made it operate a little differently before it locks up.  As I said, I may have already entered a support ticket.  I do not know if it worked since when I submitted my question to support the screen changed and then locked up just like most webpages so I am in the dark if anything went through.
So far I am at a loss, I just log out using control alt del when it locks up then sign back in and try again.  Usually takes at least 3 times doing this to get onto a webpage although some webpages may not work at all today and then work tomorrow.

Ok great! If you call please have patience when calling as there can be a hold time but hopefully it'll be fast for you. Support can remote into your system and fix you right up.

Have a Happy 4th of July!
