Currently I am using 5-device WSAC package in which I am using only 1 device, adesktop with validity barely for another 4 months, now i am going to add another device , a laptop to WSAC pack.
1)Will I have protection on second device for 4 months or 1 year?
2)If I am going to renew shortly how will I get add-on protection i.e on the desktop and on laptop or will the counter be reset?

If you only have 4 months left with your license and you use the keycode to another device, you will only have 4 months left. If you renew your WSAC you will get another year of full protection for 5 devices. Everything will be rolled over for another year.

Just to precise on what Sherry quite correctly advised. If you are a Webroot (rather than a Best Buy version) customer then your renewal subscription will be added to any remaining on your current subscription so if you renew with 10 days remaining your subscription will show 365 days + 10 days = 375 days of subscription.
In the case of Best Buy I believe that even if you renew ahead of time you are not charged for and the renewed subscription is not applied until the current one expires.
