I also have a Mac and I'm running Yosemite with WSAC. I have had Webroot quit once or twice and then comes back again. If it keeps happening then I would issue a Support Ticket free of charge so they can check Webroot out for you.

Do let us know how everything is going because I'm very curious about Solutions for the Mac Computers. I've done a uninstall of Webroot before and I've done a Clean reinstall of WSAC. but this depends on how knowledgable you are and how much patience one has.

You might also want to go into The Launchpad / Other/ Disk Utility/ and click on your Hard drive and then click on Verify Disk Permissions and wait for that to finish then click Repair Disk Permissions. Usually that will help keep the Mac running smoothly. Where I've had instructions before from Webroot Tech Support to do this Disk Utility verification before. I do run this a few times a month especially after installing Program Apps and/or after an update of the OS.

I use yosemite on my mac as well. In fact now that you mention it and I look back I realize these problems never had come up before until I had installed the Yosemite for the Mac.
 
So maybe there are minor compatibility issues.
 
I have done a Systems Utility Repair everything seems to check out.
 
And when my Webroot was originally installed it was done by Webroot tech who had checked out everything while he was remote accessed into my computer.
 
So my main question is, is one or if it happens, 2 unexepected quits anything I really need to worry about in the long run?

I am not a Mac user, but I have a lot of experience providing tech support in general for windows, and Webroot specifically.  My own opinion is bugs and glitches happen.  Now I know that Mac is known to be a lot more glitch free than Windows, but the general theory still applies.
 
One or two glitches I do not worry about.. but it if keeps repeating then there is an issue that really needs addressed.  The only caution on it is to be certain that it was not due to a new version updating automatically..  WSA will stop and restart when a new version is installed.  (I do not think that was the case for you though.)
 
When it comes to Mac, @ knows a lot more than I do though 😉

Everything seems to be working right. It still scans normally. It does everything it is supposed to and I am not having any trouble doing anything. In fact I do the thing that I did when it first unexpedly quit and it does not happen again.

There might be some glitches/ bugs as David has mentioned especially with Yosemite just coming out! I do know that after accuringYosemite you are suppose to shut off the Gatweay in System Preferences/Sevurity & Privacy and put a check mark in Anywhere and then install WSA. After WSA is installed then you change back to Mac App Store and Developers. So I'm not sure if this was done before your installing Webroot. If you want to do a clean reinstall just let me know or have the Support Team cheeck your Mac/ Webroot out. They are very good at serviceiing the Mac as you have experienced remotely.
 

 
Please let us know what you would  like to do or if you are going to Contact Support. For your own peace of mind. Once is ok for Webroot to stop but anymore then that then I'd say you are having issues with Webroot.

No, this was not done when webroot was installed. It had still been set to App store and Idenfied developers when I had installed it.
 
Does this mean I have to uninstall and then resinstall it using the method you suggested to make sure it works 100%?

Sorry for the delay!
 
It's hard to say if this is the cause of your issues with Webroot quitting. You can try it if you want but sometimes it's not as easy to uninstall as it is to install. So I'll give you information how to do this is you would like.
 
To fully uninstall the application from the Mac, simply move the icon from the Application's menu to the trash. After doing so, you will be prompted to 'Uninstall' the program. By confirming this window you will remove the additional information from the Mac Library where we store some of the files needed, including the log data.
 
Unlike Windows, you don't need to go through an uninstallation process to get rid of a program. Instead, you can simply send the program you want to delete to the Trash. When the Trash is emptied, the program is uninstalled from your system. There may, however, be lingering preference files that stay after the program has been deleted. These will need to be manually deleted by you or a program; Most of the time Webroot will easily uninstall.
 
o uninstall Webroot SecureAnywhere, follow the instructions below.

1. Shut down SecureAnywhere by clicking the Webroot icon [img]http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/wsa_icon.png[/img] in the menu bar and selecting Shut Down SecureAnywhere. [img]http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/macwebrootmenushutdown.png[/img] If prompted, confirm that you want to shut down SecureAnywhere.  
2. Open the Finder by clicking the Finder icon [img]http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/mac_finder_icon.png[/img] in the dock.  
3. Open the Applications directory. [img]http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/mac_click_applications.png[/img]  
4. Click and drag the Webroot SecureAnywhere program icon into the Trash [img]http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/mac_trash_icon.png[/img] in the dock. A confirming window appears.  Click Uninstall. [img]http://sw.nohold.net/Webroot/Images/macuninstallwsa.png[/img] Webroot SecureAnywhere is now uninstalled.  There is no need to restart your computer. Please let us know if you still have problems because we can go into safe mode if necesssary

Before installing please open the Gateway as I've instructed in previous post and set the Sucruity/Privacy to anywhere. Then when you have WSA installed set the Gateway back to Mac app store/ and lock it.
 
Have your key code available and hers the KB instructions to install on a Mac

Well I just got off the phone with one of the Webroot Tech Support People
 
They said that chaging the setting to anywhere is what you use for when you want to install webroot but the computer is not letting you.
 
There was no issue with the installiation of the program to the computer, that was all done smoothly by a member of the tech department.
 
Everything is running as it is supposed to. The tech person said that it could have just been a minor hiccup in the system that has happened to a number of a people.
 
So should I just wait and see if it happens again to my computer then do what you said uninstall and then reinstall it using your method or...

Yes by all means do what the Tech has told you. It's a mionor hickup is what I really believe anyways. I wouldn't worry about it unless it keeps doing the diappearing act for a second.
