Change WSA edition

I currently own a five seat WSA Complete license, of which only three seats are being used. My subscription ends in forty three days, at which time I plan to switch to a three seat WSA Antivirus license. Will I simply be able to downgrade my three machines to an WSA Antivirus license by way of the 'Add Product Keycode' feature on the My Webroot Anywhere site? Or will I have to manually uninstall all three installations, then reinstall using the WSA Antivirus keycode?

Yes if you let it run out just install the new keycode for the AV only and do a scan that will remove all the extras like Back Up & Sync, Password Manager, System Optimizer and System Analyzer and make sure you add the new keycode to your online account. If you have issues do a clean reinstall of WSA with a reboot in between and install with the new keycode. Then this way you don't need to contact support but you might want to anyways to get the old keycode removed from your Online Console as we can't do that ourselves at this point and hopefully we will be able to in the near future.

Downgrading will mean that you may not have all features you currently  have access to such as Backup&Synch, and possibly Password Manager.  WSA-IS+ still has Password Manager but WSA-AV does not.
 
I know on upgrading from AV to Complete there is no need to re-install, but I am not sure on the downgrade.  In theory it should work without a re-install.  As there is only one installer, the software gives access to features based on the key code, so activating the AV key code should work and simply remove access to the features not supported by WSA-AV

Yes, I'm aware of this. I use none of the above features, hence my wanting to downgrade.

This is what I'm hoping will be the case. Just looking for confirmation from a Webroot employee.

Well, I have asked about it to the degree of "how does one download work for all versions", and the answer was simply that the key code dictates which modules are allowed to be accessed, so the downgrade should work just as easy as an upgrade :)
 
Hopefully a Webroot employee will reply today as well, but while Support is staffed on the weekends sometimes the Community isn't.

It's what I suspected too, with there being one WSA installer as you pointed out.

David is quite correct based on this previous post that I have located.  It includes an update from a Webroot Mod and a phone no. too if that method is preferable to you.
