The Edison Awards have selected Webroot SecureAnywhere as a finalist for the 2012 Best New Product awards, in the Personal Safety/Security category.
From the Edison Awards website: "The Edison Best New Product Awards are known around the world for recognizing and honoring innovation and excellence in the development, marketing and launch of new products and services. These awards symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Alva Edison, while also strengthening America's drive to remain at the forefront of innovation, creativity, and ingenuity in the global economy."
The Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced at the Edison Awards Gala on April 26, 2012.

This is tremendous!
Awards are per category. Simply being a finalist at all amongst only three in the category means that Webroot SecureAnywhere has already won through to at least a Bronze. The main category is Innovative Services, with the other two competitors in our category being, interestingly enough, physical safety services: FirstAssist by OnStar and Smart911 by Rave Mobile Safety. It feels almost wrong to be grouped with services meant to save physical lives, yet perhaps it shows how big an impact SecureAnywhere has.
