Hello Everyone!

I am new here, I am also a new Webroot SecureAnywhere user, what I am about to share will explain why I am both of those!.

I was bored and decided to try and see if I can find a good antivirus that I have not used, at the time I was using both Kaspersky Security Cloud and Malwarebytes AntiMalware on my Alienware 17 R4 Laptop. So out of pure boredom and curiosity I came upon Webroot and decided to install it and see how it fares, well upon its first scan it detected a Trojan in a game trainer I downloaded, and it was sitting right on my desktop, neither Kaspersky nor Malwarebytes detected this Trojan which was a shock to me!. So with that in mind I immediately purchased Webroot, and I am using it solely, I may use the Malwarebytes as a backup to check at times.

But that’s it! Hope someone enjoyed this, it was certainly a surprise to me.

Thank you @Trump2Q24  for your comments.

Several of use Malwarebytes for the same reasons, there is no harm at all in using another program occasionally to check. So far with me, I have not picked up anything at all that WSA has missed,

Not a surprise to me, but the effectiveness of Webroot is a well-kept secret, unfortunately not helped by the fact that most testing organisations can’t really handle its novel approach to tackling malware. I’ve been using Webroot SecureAnywhere since it first came out in 2011 and, before then, its antecedent Prevx since late 2006, which Webroot acquired in 2010, rebuilding its entire antivirus technology around it.

@TripleHelix, and others here who post less regularly, have been using it even longer. We use it simply because we know it’s good ! Here’s hoping that continues well into the future.

When I switched the AV to Webroot in the our MSP it was very surprising what it found on what we thought was secure machines.

Your experience is a familiar story for many of us 😉.
