i own SecureAnywhere complete. it expires in a few weeks. my renewal emails advise i'll pay $79.99 (let's just call it $80, okay?).
on the main website here, SA complete is currently $40.
is there any compelling reason for me to renew, when i can get the product for 50% off by just buying it new?

You are right that these promotions are a great deal and you can take advantage of our offers for a new subscription instead of renewing. However, if you use the Backup & Sync functionality, renewal keeps your existing keycode and you will not need to start over with the backing up and syncing of your files/programs.
These offers are for a limited time but you are free to choose between renewal or a new subscription. Sales might be able to give you more information and perhaps a better renewal deal that I am unaware of (I posted their number below).
