Kirk Douglas, one of the great Hollywood leading men whose off-screen life was nearly as colorful as his on-screen exploits in movies like "Spartacus" and "Champion," has died, according to his son, actor Michael Douglas. He was 103.

Note: I had the privilege of meeting and talking to Kirk Douglas during the filming of one of his movies onboard the USS Nimitz,  "The Final Countdown"  Very nice man to talk to. Also met some of the other actors in the movie: Martin Sheen, Katharine Ross, Charles Durning.

R.I.P Kirk, it’s been a privilege meeting you.

He was one of the true greats. I am the same as a lot of people I loved the movie Spartacus and it is still one of my favourites.
