I know we’re all excited by the contest and I encourage everyone to create and explore new discussions, but let’s tone down going into 2 year old posts and replying “nice, thanks for the info” to boost points to game the system to win top prize.

I’m not specifically naming or banning anyone on this as the rules can be broad and sometimes confusing, but I think we can all agree what I’m talking about.

If you don’t stop I will DM you as your only warning, beyond that….

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Sorry Tyler 🙁

I am fairly new to the forum, so please feel free to let me know if anything I am doing is outside of what is expected. I appreciate all of the work you guys are doing to get us more involved.

Sorry I know its not very professional and somewhat off topic but I am loving your use of gifs and memes in your posts. If one wanted to use a gif in a post...how would I go about doing that??

Thanks for the warning Tyler. I am a member for a long time, just not so active in posting questions and answers. This contest is a nice way to get more active on the forum and make it part of the routine to check news on various sites.

Hmm I get the point and I can be very very competitive. Been part of the community 9 years but have to admit I didnt use this forum as much as I could have. I have geninely learnt an awful amount of whats been going on and it scares me how many new stories are posted daily.

All good! It’s just a (friendly as can be) warning and I’ve already seen an improvement 😎

Agreed! I am learning lots from these articles and posts. All of the Mac tips are really useful too as a Mac based user. This giveaway has definitely given an incentive for better engagement.

Fair play Tyler.

As others have said, much improvement on here recently with sharing the knowledge. 👍🏻

I don’t think I commented on a years old post, but point taken and apologies if I did do that.

The current challenge offers so many opportunities to win. Can a 1st place prize winner win the 1st place prize multiple weeks in a row?

Thanks for this @TylerM

I noticed this time around, people who have hardly ever posted are posting everywhere now upping their points count.

To me, this should be more about contributing and helping others with issues, or suggestions, rather than spam posting news articles etc…

No you can only win one tier of prizes each week so if you get 1st place two weeks in a row you will get 2nd place prize on one of those weeks and give 2nd place the top spot (if they don’t have it already)

This follows 2nd to 3rd and 4th, etc.

@TylerM  I hope this prizes can be shipped to SA, otherwise the treat of Halloween prizes will become a sticky trick :-) Have to say, I love the banter on the forums, but also there are some really valuable information shared here, and we have already been able to step up pro-actively on a few topic that has been shared.

I think a personal message as a first and final warning will suffice right?
