Someone mention me?!?!?!

Sorry I have been away for a few weeks - been busy at work changing our service interface portal and then a sinus infection. After this week I should be back in the groove! :D

I have a Logitech Momo wheel and pedals. works great, but I have to take ity apart and put axel grease on the gears occasionally to keep the turning smooth.

I want a G27, which would make a great Webroot.gift to their loved customers!

That's a great idea Corey! I'll keep it in mind for a future addition to the VIP rewards. ;)

I have an older Logitech racing wheel but I am going to upgrade it soon enough. Funnily enough I am not a fano f the G27 wheels.

The sinus infection - not enjoyable.

The Momo Wheel - I like! As I said, I have to grease the gears occasionally, and I think the more expensinve wheels have better gears in it. It is very responsive and the pedals (especially the brake) have enough resistance to keep me slemming them. as far as the feedback, I change the feedback level depending on the track. Superspeedways - I turn the feedback down pretty low. I do not want the wheel to jerk a little if I am bump-drafting someone. On other tracks I turn it up more so I can feel the car in the corners.

I have heard some people swear by the G27 and some who do not like it. I wonder if they had different versions manufactured in different factories?

What makes you hate the G27?

The paddles arent great and are actually have sharp edges. The 900 degree rotation is complete overkill, I have never used more than half a turn while actually racing a real racing car. The six speed action is sloppy making gearchanges a bit of a mess and on the G27 they have removed the sequental ability.

On the G25 the wheel doesnt have enough buttons on it forcing you to use the buttons on the shifter. The pedals are half decent but its difficult to heal-toe with the pedal positions. But apart from that I like the finish of them 🙂

Luckily with ovals I don't have to heel-toe! The few road races I have drive, I am not sharp enough to heel-toe anyways.

I am being critical but considering how much the cost I wasnt too impressed. I have a nice old Logitech Force feedback wheel that I find more comfortable. That said its on its last legs and needs replacing soon enough!
