This is very exciting news, I heard on the radio this morning. :D
 
It's amazing that half of the Lucasfilm fortune was made from selling toys and that profits from Star Wars video games were greater than the films themselves.

I'll never forget as a child walking into the toy store in the days of ESB and ROTJ and seeing such a huge volume of merchandise Star Wars related available for sale.I actually think the marketing departments for the major studios did a better job back then.I've heard some Star Wars purists blast what is going on,but they fail to realize,that if it weren't for Disney,there most likely would have never been anything beyond ROTJ.Lucas has made enough money to live off of for several lifetimes.Now he can just do projects he is passionate about outside of Star Wars.You can only release these same movies so many times before they get old.I am very much looking forward to Disney's stewardship of the Star Wars franchise:D

$4.05 billion deal!  Not chopped liver!  :S
