Explanations? I shut down my Lenovo and it starts up without any input from me

I am looking for an explanation for, and means to prevent,  the following computer behavior:   I shut down my Lenovo and after about 5 minutes it restarts without any input from me.  Yes, I am sure I selected "shut down" and not "restart" from the menu.  Thanks!
