Hi all, New user. Do you suggest uninstalling my McAfee in order to let web root do the job solo?

Hey gang,
I am a home user but tend to move to many hot spots in the area.  Can anyone comment on dual systems?  McAfee and Webtoot?

Hello and Welcome to the Community Forum,

Webroot is built to run along with most virus programs and you can keep McAfee but Webroot is completely capable of doing it all and uses far less resources then any others. So I wouldn't weigh my system down with a resource hog such as McAfee. That's my personal opinion.
As for dual systems Webroot is best I'd say.

Hope that helps,

Kind Regards,

Petrovic

Hello  and Welcome to the Webroot Community Forums!

The choice is yours. Webroot SecureAnywhere can either replace or work alongside your
existing antivirus software.
Webroot SecureAnywhere is fully compatible with other mainstream antivirus products and
will work alongside any existing antivirus software to detect and remove any threats it
misses, and to protect your financial and personal information.
You will not be asked to uninstall your existing antivirus when installing Webroot
SecureAnywhere.

I recommend remove McAfee as WSA will protect you much better here is a list of AV removal tools Also you must use Windows Firewall or a Third Party Firewall along with WSA please see here: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C4_Firewall/CH4a_ManagingFirewall.htm
