How do I change webroot on a Mac from an old webroot account to a new one?

I simply want to change a webroot account on a Macbook to a different account.  Do I need to delete the old webroot or can I simply change account numbers?

Hello ?

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I am sorry I am not understanding the issue. As ? has asked, can you be more specific? Are you wanting to renew keycodes by adding a keycode to your account?

This solution addresses Webroot SecureAnywhere for Mac OS X 10.7 and higher

If you receive a new keycode from Webroot, you can activate it from the My Account window.

To activate a new keycode:
 1. Open the SecureAnywhere interface (click the Webroot icon  in the menu bar, then select Open Webroot SecureAnywhere from the drop-down menu).
 2. From the main window, click My Account.
 3. In the My Account window, click Activate a New Keycode.
 4. Enter your new keycode in the box labled Enter your keycode to activate your software and click Activate.

Hi Heeler

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Which account is that you are looking to change? If it is your Webroot account then there should be no need. Or is it that you have purchased a new subscription/keycode and want to activate that?

A little more information on what you are looking to do would be very useful. :D

Many thanks in anticipation.

Regards, Baldrick

Ah, I see that our Mac guru is online...so perhaps, Sherry (?) would be able to offer some more definitive advice on this point. :D

The Mac had an older Webroot acoount which expired on 1/18/16.  By happenstance a new PC was purchased which came with Webroot for about 4 months.  I activated the new Webroot with new member and key numbers.  Now I want to have the old Mac use the new member and key numbers.

Hi Heeler

Sounds like it is just a case of (i) installing WSA on the new Mac & (ii) entering the new keycode in the appropriate place/activating it, etc. always assuming that the subscription is for more than one device? If it is not then it will be a case of deactivating the olderr device from the onlien account and then activating the new Mac.

But as I am not expert in the Mac version I will leave it to Sherry to offer precise guidance. :D
