Hi. I own a Samsung laptop and have had the Internet security complete for the last two years. It has been expired for a week as I'm trying to figure out which to renew. The only other device I have is a kindle fire and was not successful in the past with downloading webroot onto it. I am an occasional user of the Internet mainly for checking email and infrequent shopping. Will the Antivirus Webroot subscription be adequate? I'd like to renew ASAP so that I can use my computer. I also haven't noticed the green check marks next to safe sites prior to my subscription expiring. Does it automatically update from 2014 to 2015? Many thanks!
Hello Brownie,

Welcome to the Community Forum,

Oh my goodness..IMO there isn't any other AV out there that compares to Webroot. It's more then adequate for everything you need to do online.I don't mean to boast but Webroot updates automatically from the cloud. You are always updated.

Here's an explanation of how WSA works to protect you from malware.See the diagram below.

Webroot has.: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/Scanning-PC-suspiciously-fast/m-p/... also the Webroot WIN Cloud does all the work not your PC: http://www.brightcloud.com/platform/webroot-intelligence-network.php

Hello Brownie,

I got so carried away that I forgot to let you know if you are having problems with the Webfilter not having green check marks then please get back to us and we can assist with that if it still doesn't work. And yes Webroot will always be up to date from 2014 to 2015. The Webroot Antivirus should be adequate but you will not get Back up & Sync or Password Manager. Compare products here. http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/

Best Regards,
Thanks so much for your your reply. I do plan to continue using Webroot, just trying to decide which one. Should I be able to download it onto the Kindle Fire? And does it make a difference if I buy it from Target, Walmart, or Best Buy? Thanks!
