keyboard malfunctioning after installing SecureAnywhere

I installed SecureAnywhere on my Macbook and now the keyboard in malfunctioning. Whenever I type something, if I type more than one letter every three or four seconds, it will skip letters, erase letters, show two or three letters where I only typed one, etc. Additionally, the text will appear very slowly on my screen--a good five or six seconds after I typed it. The only thing I changed about my computer was the Antivirus, so this has to be related to that. Is there any way I can fix this issue? Everything I've found online about this is from several years ago, and for either PCs or a different version of Webroot.

Hello tadpole511,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you shut down SecureAnywhere and see if you can type normally to see if Webroot is the cause of your issue? Then turn Webroot back on again.

But I would  Submit a Support Ticket free of charge with a Webroot subscription and they can assist you further by collecting your logs to see if this is Webroot related.

Hope this helps?

The keyboard worked perfectly fine when I turned Webroot off, and it started malfunctioning again as soon as I turned it back on. I'll submit a ticket. Thank you!

Hi tadpole511,

You are most welcome ..would you try one thing for me and see if this helps by following this below?

By clicking the Webroot icon located on the top right of the menu bar, then clicking Pause Secure Keyboard Entry.

Once activated, you will see a checkmark next to the menu option.

They're solution was the same as yours--uninstall and reinstall. I've reinstalled and my keyboard seems to be working fine now.
