today i purchased this webroot, and i forgor all i had to do was to renew this program. How can i find out if my computer has Webroot on it for protection????

Welcome to the Community Forums.
If WSA is installed and running on your system then you should be seeing the WSA icon in the notification tray; a green cirlce with a 'W' in it.
Alternatively, if you check under the Task Manager (right click the task bar at the bottom of your Desktop & select 'Task Manager') then you should see the following processes active in the list of running processes:
