Recover Password for Desktop app

Nvidia Graphics driver update is being detected as malware. I cannot update my graphics drivers unless I can temporarily turn off protection or whitelist the .exe. Until the graphics driver is updated, I cannot use many application on my PC, including some Steam games.

I am unable to temporarily turn off protection as I have lost the password to the desktop app.

I tried using the web console to manage the desktop app, but my PC is not showing up.

  1. I need a way to recover the desktop app password.
  2. I would like to somehow resync the desktop app and webapp so I can remotely manage.
  3. Nvidia graphics driver should not be detected as malware.

Hey  @jacobsk ,

This sounds like it will need to be handled with support since you need a password reset. Please reach out to them here:  http://webroot.com/us/en/support/home-contact

Hey there @jacobsk ,

If whitelisting it is not serving as a permanent solution, please reach out to Webroot support: http://webroot.com/us/en/support/home-contact

This isn’t the problem. I can’t even test this as I need to recover the password for the app.

This is my primary issue.
