Renewed verified and activated but the expired message still comes up after my scan
Hello jbass,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Have you rebooted your computer? Try that and see if it is still expired. Also it depends on if you renewed from Best Buy or Webroot. It might take time to register in the cloud.

Sometimes you have to do this below:

  1. Click the gear tool in My Account.  Re-enter your existing key code, click Activate, and reboot the computer.
  2. If number 1 does not help, you might consider a re-install of WSA.. This only takes a few minutes
Please follow the steps closely! This is for a PC not a Mac. Let us know if you need Mac instructions.

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,
Hi jbass

Welcome to the Community Forums.

May I ask as to whether your renewal was a 'real' one; i.e., you added time to your current subscription and no new keycode was involved or if it was a 'pseudo' renewal, i.e., you purchased a new subcription, received and therefore entered a new keycode?

I suspect the latter and if that is the case then it is likely that the message you are getting is due to the previous subscription, which is still in 'expiry mode', and active. This will most likely continue until the 30 day grace period after expiry is up. Alternatively, you could Open a Support Ticket, explain the situation to the Support Team and ask then to cancel the previous subscription/keycode.

Of course, if my supposition is incorrect then please disregard the above.

Regards, Baldrick
