I keep thinking I understand how to determine if a site is safe for me to visit or not... but I keep learning I know nothing.

So, my two part question is:
Is the issue that some/many webpages in the domain are very dangerous, but the primary page is not?
If I'm wrong, then please try to explain the discrepancy.  PS, a few years ago it set off all sorts of "alarms" on my system so I won't go there anymore anyway.

Clear enough, but I'm about to talk to a group and encourage them to use Webroot and, if not, encourage them to use Brightcloud.
Bright cloud UTL IP says:
Reputation Index:  21  Status Orange Explamation (Suspicious)

Web Reputation analysis.
Infections (past 12 months) value :no  impact long green bar  (no infections add positve impact)
Popularity: High  somewhat long green bar (High popluarity add positive impact)
Age: 92 months established, medium green bar (established add positive impact)

no threats found
status: trustworthy

We'll need pass this one along to BrightCloud to have it looked at.

It is common for the root domain to be clean but have infected pages on the domain, but I don't believe that is the case here.

Thanks DanP.

I don't know which information is correct but it was one of the very few websites that set off alarms when visited.  That was over a year ago but I am as cautious as I know how to be.  (Being chicken is not ALWAYS a bad thing... :D)

Godspeed
