If you want to remove a file or folder from your online backup, it will go to a Recycling Bin within the Root directory. This is to allow you a chance to restore the files in case they were deleted by mistake. If you would like to free this space and delete the files permanently from the online account, follow the steps below.

Important: If you decide you would like to permanently delete these files, it will also delete the file on any computers the file is currently synced to. To prevent any loss of data, we recommend that you detach any Sync capabilities. To learn how to do this, click here.

  1. In the online backup, select the files or folders  you wish to remove from the online account, then click on the red 'X' at the top to send them to the Recycle Bin.

  2. Click on Actions button and select View Recycle Bin.

You will be prompted again to verify the action. This cannot be undone. Once deleted from the Recycle Bin, the items cannot be recovered. If you are certain, click OK.

The files are then permanently removed from the online Backup and Sync.
I'm glad you posted this warning. "Important: If you decide you would like to permanently delete these files, it will also delete the file on any computers the file is currently synced to." Else I would have deleted the files on my PC.

Hello matrix2063,

Yes this is a very good information and you were smart to look this up before proceeding weren't you?!

Kind Regards,

Apologies for saying this but actually it stands to reason and is what would be expected...if one deletes a file that is synced then why would one not expect **bleep** to be deleted from all synchronised locations...after all...what does 'synchronised' and whiy should it only cover the adding of a file and not also the deletion of a file?

Still, I suppose that a warning is a good idea...just in case. ;)

Yes, but not all programs are created equally... ;)
