Is backup data encrypted on the Webroot site

Best answer by ProTruckDriver

Hello exohchaplin,

When using the Backup & Sync feature, personal information is securely uploaded and stored in the cloud. Webroot SecureAnywhere uses the following encryption method:
  • All your personal content (i.e. the names of files and the files themselves) is encrypted using AES with 256-bit keys.
  • Encryption keys are managed on a per-account basis. Content encryption keys and key encryption keys are protected by AES key wrap algorithm, using 256-bit keys.
  • Keys are protected via a RSA asymmetric key-pair using a 2048-bit key
HTH,
Dave.
