Hello @MiniBB
Welcome to the Webroot Community,
From my research I have found this below:
When it comes to adware, these malicious programs are bundled with other free software that you download off of the Internet. Unfortunately, some free downloads do not adequately disclose that other software will also be installed and you may find that you have installed adware without your knowledge. Once a malicious program is installed, whenever you will browse the Internet, unwanted advertisements from Nbryb.com will pop-up
Have a look here .
You can also Submit a Support Ticket which is a Free service with your Webroot subscription.
Hope this helps?
Welcome to the Webroot Community,
From my research I have found this below:
- To delete the Nbryb.com permission to send notifications to your Chrome browser, follow the below steps. These steps are for Google Chrome running on Android devices.Tap on Chrome’s main menu button, represented by three vertical dots. When the drop-down menu appears, tap on the option labeled “Settings“.
- Chrome’s “Settings” menu should now be displayed, scroll down to the “Advanced” section and tap on “Site Settings“.
- In the “Site Settings” menu, tap on “Notifications“.
- The “Notifications” options will open and you will be presented with a list with sites that you have “Blocked” and “Allowed” to send you notifications. In the “Allowed” section, scroll through the list until you find the Nbryb.com site, then tap on it, then click the “Clean & Reset” button that appears on the bottom on the window.
- A confirmation dialog should now be displayed, detailing the actions that will be taken should you continue on with the reset process. To complete the clean-up process, click on the “Clean & Reset” button.

Thank you Ssherjj for your kind help.
Unfortunately this virus remains fixed on my Chrome screen not allowing me to use any Chrome settings or do anything at all.
It is in Chrome but the screen appears similar to a You Tube video screen with the "skip ad" on right side of screen and the red progress line along the bottom of the screen - but no activity.
All I can do is hold down the silver button on the bottom middle part of my mobile until it goes to "the back" off the active screen with other screens I've been using. (Sorry I don't know what we call that area).
So basically when I press on the Chrome icon (from main screen) this virus opens and stops me from doing anything apart from "block" or "allow").
Is there some way around this please?

Hello @MiniBB
Sorry to hear that. Are you able to go into your Settings/Apps/Chrome/Manage Storage/Clear Cache?
Then Click on "Manage Storage" Tap the first one to free up space. Then go to second one that saids. "All site storage, including cookies and other locally stored data" Tap on Manage and Clear Site Storage.
Are you able to get to "Settings" to do the above? Let me know how it goes. Restart your device.

Hi once again.
Have a look at this information here
I would not delete all data if it were me now that I have researched somewhat. I would contact Webroot Support and let them take care of this for you.

I was told by Google Support that this issue with Chrome could be an installed application. To find that out you can restart your phone in Safe Mode and see if the issue is still causing havoc with Chrome. If it does then you need to find that application. But they were not that much help I guess. But to restart your phone in Safe Mode:
Press and hold your phone's power button.
On your screen, touch and hold Power off. If needed, tap OK.
Your phone starts in safe mode. You'll see "Safe mode" at the bottom of your screen.
See if you can get onto Chrome. Look here too Remove unwanted ads, pop-ups & malware

From Google Support:
the Google Support team member you chatted in with. I wanted to follow up with you in regards to our chat. If you're seeing some of these problems with Chrome, you might have unwanted software or malware installed on your computer:
- Pop-up ads and new tabs that won't go away
- Your Chrome homepage or search engine keeps changing without your permission
- Unwanted Chrome extensions or toolbars keep coming back
- Your browsing is hijacked, and redirects to unfamiliar pages or ads
- Alerts about a virus or an infected device
Very grateful to you Ssherjj for all the time you've given to this problem. You have been so very kind.
Can you please tell me how I get onto Technical Support with Webroot as the Google doesn't seem to have been very helpful in my situation.
Thank you again.

In my case, I happen to know that I started getting the NBYRB avalanche of Chrome notifications immediately after installing an APK file from a shady source. I changed my Google password and wiped the phone clean, but I’m curious now -- were all those notifications sent to my phone from outside, or was there some code on my phone fetching it from another source? And is it likely that the “bad actor” got my Google password (now changed) in the process?
