Webroot Warning About WRWTSSvc Trying to Install Itself -- Friend or Foe?

Getting warning at startup from Webroot that following is trying to install itself at every startup:

       Registry Key: \REGISTRY\MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\WRWTSSvc

Webroot default action is to then disable that update.

Is this legitimate or imposter update attempt?

If legitimate, it seems to be a Webroot-related service, so why would Webroot not be recognizing it as part of its own software?

Thank you!

Hello @asepetys

Yes we have been Beta testing this new Webroot Process but they haven’t told us they released it to the public so yes it’s a new process for the Web Threat Shield. I’m asking the Product Managers about this and I assume they will reply sometime tomorrow about the release to the public.

Look here for the file:
