The “Recent Apps” section of the Dock on Mac shows the three most recently used apps that are not otherwise in the Mac Dock. This is a handy feature for returning to recently used apps, but if you wish to remove one of the apps from the Recent Apps section, you can do that too.

I call this recent app feature a ‘marmite feature’. As you either love it or hate it!

im not a fan. If you use the dock properly then any app you want to open more than once you would have kept in your dock permanently.

There’s always been the recent apps opened option in the apple menu too so this just fills the dock up
