Hi Twobee

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If you have really 'renewed', i.e., extended your existing subscription then there is no need to enter a keycode as you wil just continue using your existing keycode and the additional days from the renewal will eventually (there can be a slight lag in them appeareing added to the days you currently have left) come through/be displayed on the main panel.

If however your renewal was a 'pseudo' one, i.e., you purchased the product again and so have a new keycode to use then you will need to enter the new keycode as follows in your CURRENT installation of WSA...NO need to install the software again if already installed:

and then

That should do it but please be mindful that if you have days left on your current keycode you are better off holding off entering the new keycode until the last possible day because as soon as you enter the new keycode the new subscription will be activated and run in parallel to the current one, so you will effectively lose the days you have left on the current keycode/subscription.

Also, please advise as top which verison of WSA you are currenlty using and which you have effectively purchased with the new keycode as there are some further pointers to give you if you currently use the Internet Security Plus or Complete versions, and use the Password Manager and/or Backup & Sync features?

Hope that helps?

THANKS!   The thing is when I do the installation the window for the Keycode won't pop up I get the "run" windows and then I get the " your subscription has expired" Screen.. and I can't go any further... and yes I did  buy a new subscription  rather than clicking on renew and that is why I got a new keycode... I am lost as to what to do

Hi Twobee

As I said in my previous post...if you have WSA already installed then there is NO need to install the product again...you just need to enter the new keycode in the EXISTING installation of WSA, at the approrpiate time.

And as I also said before please be mindful that if you have days left on your current keycode you are better off holding off entering the new keycode until the last possible day before expiry.

This is because as soon as you enter the new keycode the new subscription will be activated and run in parallel to the current one, so you will effectively lose the days you have left on the current keycode/subscription.

So, to summarise; you have WSA already installed, you have purchased a new subscription with a new keycode, there is no need to install WSA again, just to enter and activate the new keycode as per the screenshots I posted previously, but only when your existing subscription is just about expired otherwise you will lose any time left on the keycode /subscription currently active.

I hope that clarifies things?

Regards, Baldrick

PS: please advise as to which verison of WSA you are currenlty using as there are some further pointers to give you as you have purchased a new subscription/keycode.

Hi Twobee

That is great news...now, as I also said before...please advise as top which verison of WSA you are currenlty using and which you have effectively purchased with the new keycode as there are some further pointers to give you if you currently use the Internet Security Plus or Complete versions, and use the Password Manager and/or Backup & Sync features?

If you are usng the Antivirus version then they should be no potential issues.

I await your update.

Hi Twobee

Apologies, had to step out for a while.

So you bought Internet Security Plus; now if that is what you had previously subscribed to AND you have used the Password Manager (that is part of Internet Security Plus), then read on otherwise what I am going to descibe does not apply.

If you have passwords stored in the Password Manager when using your now PREVIOUS subscription/keycode and you want to access them them when using you NEW subscription/keycode you will need to Open a Support Ticket to advise/ask the Support Team to transfer the Password Manager data from your PREVIOUS to your NEW subscription/keycode.

This is because the password data is stored using the keycode as part of the key and therefore as you have switch keycode when you try to access the Password Manager running under you NEW keycode you will fidn that there is no data visible.

Just open the support ticket usng the link above, and in the ticket explain your situation, providing your email address that you registered with, i.e., that you enter to access the Password Manager, plus you PREVIOUS and NEW keycodes, and ask them to move the data across for you. Tehy should be able to do that for you but make sure that you do in in the next 14 days as there is a time limit after which the data associated with the PREVIOUS keycode will not be retreivable.

If you have not used the Password Manager with your PREVIOUS keycode then please disregard the above.

Regards, Baldrick
