A blue admiration mark is beside the Webroot icon. What does it mean?

So I have been trying to get Webroot to scan my computer for any threads but it says " The scan failed. SecureAnywhere cannot reach the internet to obtain threat information"

Hi jos

Check that you have indeed got an internet connection, and if so and yo are still getting the same message then I would do a couple of things. First, reboot and then try scanning again.

If that does not work then I would recommend an unistall/clean reinstall of WSA. If need to and want to undertake the 2nd option then please follow the steps below closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and do NOT import any settings if offered by the installer; to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Once you have rebooted check that you have an internet connection and then try the scan again. Hopefully, this willnow be working properly, but if not then I would then Open a Support Ticket to get the Support Team to investigate what is occuring re. your system.

Please do post back and let us know how you get on.

Regards, Baldrick
