Hello ijon

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

This could be a braod area to cover in knowing why your Computer is running slow. Have you used Webroot System Optimizer?

To eliminate that Webroot could be the cause. Would you do a uninstall/reinsatll of Webroot?

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Then if this does not help then you might want to run CCleaner by www.piriform.com. Making sure you have set a REstore point.

Other then that I will ping ? who should have some more ideas to why this is happening?

Hope this helps?

Hi ijon

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You could try a little tip I picked up recently that may or may not work for you. If you want to try it then this is what you do:

1. Right click on start menu and open up Control Panel
2. Search for Performance in the top right
3. Click on Adjust appearance and performance
4. Open Advanced tab and click Change
5. Uncheck automatic
6. Click the drive system is installed on select custom size
7. Set Initial and Maximum size to the value recommended by Windows
8. Click Set and then restart

I hope that things should be a whole lot better afterwards. And if they are not then all you need to do is to reverse the process and reset the 'Automatic' option.

Regards, Baldrick
