Uninstall Trip Advisor from Galaxy S3 model SM-N9005 android

Thank you for opportunity to seek the Community's help.
have Webroot Secure Anywhere Mobile Complete  on android. I'm not sure if this topic is relevant to the Community but I have been really bothered with this useless app. It self updates without asking permission and there doesn't seem to be any facility by which it can be uninstalled. This app came on my phone, I didn’t install it.
Alternatively, can Webroot block it or do anything to help please?
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hello Merci-

Sorry you are having this issue. If Trip Advisor came of been pre-installedI on your Samsung I hear that this App cannot be uninstalled but it can be disabled.
Go to Settings > More > Application Manager, selecting a specific application and choosing Disable.

You can open Webroot up by following instructions below and see if Trip Advisor is listed and see if it can be uninstalled by following below:
To use the App Inspector:
 1. From the main SecureAnywhere Mobile panel, tap Identity & Privacy from the bottom.
 2. Tap App Inspector.
 3. Select from the following:
4. Review Apps — This option identifies any applications that may be a security concern. When the next panel opens, tap the Forward arrow to see the identified list of apps, which exhibit the following behavior:
 5. Access your messaged
 6. Cost you more money
 7. Access sensitive information
 8. Track your location
If you see Trip Advisor listed you can click on it and see what options Webroot gives you. Some apps can be uninstalled but not the Samsung apps that came with your Android.

Also you can Submit a Support Ticket and see if they can help you. This is free of charge with your Webroot subscription.

Hope this helps?

Thank you Sherry for your very clear (and quick) response. I appreciate your help very much. Unfortunately, Webroot did not include Trip Advisor in it's applications lists. I have disabled Trip Advisor, but have heard from friends, it somehow starts itself working again?! Such an ill-mannered, invasive app which uses up space and interrupts my day to day mobile usage plus I feel most uncomfortable with the fact that it "goes everywhere" I go. I will just have to keep disabling it but I wish the manufacturer possessed (not sure of the correct technical name) well mannered social media skills and would provide the option of uninstalling this app. Thank you again. Louise

Hello Louise,

This is so sad about Trip Advisor being so difficult. I have been doing a research on Google and I came across this https://www.tripadvisorsupport.com/hc/en-us/articles/201876336-How-do-I-disconnect-my-TripAdvisor-and-Google-accounts-

Again I hope you find something that will help you to disable this for good.:@

Thank you for letting us know...And you are most welcome! 😉
