    What a rocky road on this update on my Mac running Catalina.

    • Downloaded update
    • Automatic Reboot
    • At the end of installing showed “Sign in Screen” for about 10 seconds then screen when “Black”.
    • I left the computer alone for about an hour, still Black Screen.
    • Did a hard reboot, screen flashed a few times then Sign In Screen appeared. I waited about 5 minutes then signed in.
    • Got a distorted screen showing System Preferences also a popup on top of System Preferences  stating there was an error in the update. It also said that log in will continue after 1 minute.
    • Popup disappeared after 1 minute. It took about 5 minutes to get normal screen.
    • After about 30 minutes I did a reboot to see if all was all right (Fingers Crossed). Reboot went well.
    • I then updated Safari. No problems.

    Apple better get their act together on these updates. It’s beginning to look like some Microsoft bad updates.
