I have not downloaded the password manager toolbar - do I need to do that.
The green dot is no longer green as I have completed installation of webroot but did not download the toolbar. The password manager is coming up with a exclamation point. Do I need to install this as an integral part of the software? It doesn't look like a safe installation?

Welcome to the Webroot Community.
The green dot or Password Manager will only turn green when you have logged in properly. This must be done each time you start your browsing session. The exclamation mark means that you did not login properly. Please click the Password Manager to enter your credentials. Please use the same email address and password that you chose when registering your online Web Console.
If you have not already registered your online Webroot account please see this KB Article for directions.
Edit: After reading your PM to me I see that you have a Mac. And yes, you do want to allow the installation of the Password Manager extension. If you're still having trouble then please get back to us and we can assist you further.
