Yahoo email reports "No Internet Connection" after Webroot scheduled scan.

I have a Webroot scheduled scan set up for 3:00PM EST everyday.

At that precise time my Yahoo email account pops up a message “No Internet Connection” and I cannot get anymore email.  The message is not correct because I have other tabs open and I still have internet connectivity. (BTW: If I start a manual scan this problem does not happen).

I am using Firefox - the only workaround that I have found is to got to the Firefox Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies and Site Data->Manage Data then search for “Yahoo” and remove them.

This will cause Yahoo to ask me to login again. Once I do that then Yahoo email works again.

Why is the Webroot scheduled scan causing Yahoo to drop my email connection??

Hello @rchubbard Welcome to the Webroot Community Forum.

It would be best if you would put a Support Ticket in. When sending a Support Ticket a Webroot Log will automatically be sent to Support. They can see what the problem is by looking at your logs.

Webroot Support:

Submit a ticket

Call 1-866-612-4227

Note: When submitting a Support Ticket, Please wait for a response from Support. Putting in another Support Ticket on this problem before Support responses will put your first Support Ticket at the end of the queue.
