Artistic Takes on Original 150 Pokemon

Happy Friday!
 
 As I searched for something funny or exciting to post before a much-looked-forward-to weekend, I have to say that there's not much excitement in the news world today. Fortunately, I just happened to stumble upon a featured CNN article about an art project called Pokemon Battle Royale launched by Light Grey Art Lab in Minneapolis where the curators asked 151 different artists from all backgrounds to create and submit their renderings of all the original 151 Pokemon! More on the project here.
 
As a kid, I loved playing the games and even collected the cards for a while... So why not kick off the weekend by  reminiscing about happy childhood memories with some out-of-the box takes on the wildly popular "gotta catch them all" characters.
