It's a beautiful day today! I have green beans to can so that'll take awhile to do. I was blessed with ALOT of them.🙃

Yes it has been a tough week, in the midst of hedge cutting. The garden visitors finished at the end of June with just a handfull of garden groups coming around since then. Sadly with the end of the so called busy period my help goes down to just 1 other for 1 day a week. It is crazy because just because the visitors stop coming does not mean the work goes away. 1 person to look after a 9 acre garden is not ideal but I have been here long enough to learn the best way to do it.

Isaac loves green beans, in fact that is a huge understatement, if he know there are some in the fridge, he will go looking for them.

You have better weather than us today, it windy with very heavy showers.

Darn if I could ship those Green Beans to Isaac I would. He's a cutie! I canned for 8 hours yesterday. 24 jars of pickled beets and plain beets. and 17 jars of green beans. (pints) Doing Applesauce tomorrow...

You are always working so hard on the Palace Garden! Wish they would get you some help for those 9 acres. 😥

We have just completed the clean up of our property from Hurricane Dorian. We really lucked out with this hurricane being a Cat 1 going past us. We had some flooding in the Tidewater area. Most was in Norfolk at The Hague. Hope your family @LLiddell that lives in Norfolk made it through without property damage. The Outer Banks of North Carolina got hammered, they are still restoring power down there.

It's a beautiful sunny morning here. Nice day to till my garden and be outside enjoying the day. I canned carrot and tomato juice yesterday so I can say all my canning is finally done. 🙃

Good Afternoon everyone, a bit of a damp day here today.

Good day to everyone. Its damp here @Jasper_The_Rasper ..hope the sun comes out today. I got a new Electric Chainsaw yesterday and it's fun cutting down a few trees. I really have alot of work to do. My trees that surround my house are dying from a fungus and its spreading to my other trees. Too much rain and other reasons because of planting the trees too close together. We didnt know any better at the time....

No Jeff it's not that kind of fungus. I'll look it up but I think its spreading throughout New York with the Blue Spruce trees I believe.

Hope every one is enjoying their day today. Eighteen years ago today the World's security was changed forever. I still remember where I was when 9-11 happened. I just got done being offloaded a semi full of empty cans at Bruce Food Corporation in Wilson, North Carolina. As I was shutting the trailer doors another trucker walked up to me and stated a plane hit the World Trade Center. What a sad day it was.

Yes bless all of those lost in 9-11. I was in the kitchen when the news came over the TV. I was stunned and horrified I couldn't believe my eyes.

Saddest day in Amerca being under attack...😓

Very sad day. When an adult student told me what was happening as I was taking his enrolment that day at the same time as being very much engrossed with preparations for the new school year, I didn't take in what he said. But later that evening, I very much did take it in.

We all became Americans that day.

I was hedgecutting, stopped for a break and had the radio on and heard about the 1st plane hitting, not much work got done that afternoon.
Yes Muddy, we all became Americans that day and we all remember where we were and what we were doing at the time.
