Well when that movie was mad it had a cheap cheap movie budget. But it made tons of cash so with the budget allowed, recruiting nearby gangs during the filming made perfect sense. This was also during the 70's where motocycle gangs were far more evident both in Australia and the US so instead of paying for actors they just used the real thing. That is smart producing.

I'll share another fun fact although not as personal as the one you shared.
For many many years that movie held the Guiness record as most profitable movie of all time. In fact it still technically has that title. However that movie was dethrown from that title by the Blair Witch Project.

MadMax Budget 700k and grossed worldwide 8.7 million which is 7.4% of Gross
Blair Witch Project budget 60k and grossed 140 million which is .04% of gross

This is not factoring in VHS/DVD sales. So Guiness really does need to update that record.

This weekend I went and saw (suffered through) Ted 2. Let me just warn you all to save your money because this movie was one of the worst movies in 2015. If you go, like I did, expecting the fun nonsense that was in Ted then you will be seriously disappointed. So I suggest to watch the TV commercials since these have virtually every funny item in the movie.

Mark Wahlberg who normally is pretty solid as an actor was struggling throughout this movie. I suspect he was thinking this is just soooo dumb. Seth Macfarlane played the voice of Ted again and did a great job for what it was. Kinda hard to screw up being a voice over.

I went to see this movie for two reasons. First it had Morgan Freeman in it. He is my favorite actor, bar none. But even his skill could not save this disaster. I kinda wonder why he even bothered. The second reason I went to see this movie was because I just loved the first one. Yes it was silly and juvenile but when you laugh out loud because of things in the movie then it really does work. Perfect case in point is Rowan Attkinson and the MR. Bean character. Not sure many of you know the show but I strongly recommend the Mr. Bean show. He is silly and the jokes are imature but it is his personality that makes it work. You will laugh out loud. Just don't expect the same in his movies.

So in summary for adults this is not a movie I would ever recommend. For kids, well there are adult parts, but I would think kids will love it. I mean what kid wouldn't want to see a talking bear. So I give it a weak 1 paw out of 5. It was a movie I should have waited and saw on Netflix.

Next movie I will be going to is Terminator Genisys next weekend or the following weekend. This movie I will be going in with zero expectations from the past movies. I'm gonna just go to enjoy the action. Lets see if Hollywood can draw me into the fantasy of the movie. Jurassic World did it so maybe this one has a chance.

I'm so sad to hear this, as I loved the first one.  I almost saw it this weekend, but ended up seeing Jurassic World instead.  Thanks for the heads up!

You picked a much better movie. Jurassic World was a very entertaining movie. But then again it also has Spielberg associated with it so it couldn't be junk. I mean he touches something and it is just golden. I can't remember off the top of my head the last movie he was involved in that wasn't great.

Last movie I watched was (actually seen it 4 other times), Two For The Money (2005)

It's about a star college football player, at the top of his game, blows out his knee forcing him to choose a new profession. He (Matthew McConaughey) winds up getting into the sports gambling business and is recruited by a man (Al Pacino) who runs one of the best sports-booking operations in the country.  Al Pacino's wife in the movie is Rene Russo

I love this movie because of McConaughey.......❤️

The Count of Monte Christo...just watched for the second time.  Full length movie now available on YouTube.  Still though nothing compares to the book by Alexander Dumas, which I have read twice and will read again.  Also plan to read The Man in the Iron Mask.:D

Last thing I watched was the fluffy movie on netflix, and laughed like a drain

We just finished a little post Mother's Day movie marathon where we had most of the Marvel Movies to watch, from Captain America thru Captain America: Civil War.

Action and humor, just pure entertainment so that we could visit, nosh and enjoy adult libations as people came and went...  Did a blended Mother's Day event for those with 2 legged and 4 legged kids ( and a few with feathered children ).  A full house is a fun house, with lots of wonderful memories to share

I am looking forward to the new Marvel movies coming out - Spiderman, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor...

And I must admit that i am very eager to see just how much Groot has grown!  😃
