What is everyone doing to keep themselves busy?

Hey there Webroot community!

With everything going in the world, it’s no secret that most of us are stuck at home most of the time. Many of us (including Webroot) with office jobs are working from home, not seeing friends as often, and can’t go to restaurants or night clubs.

Personally, most of my hobbies are social (DJ’ing, community arts) so my life has been very disrupted as a result of these changes. It’s been a huge challenge trying to figure out how to keep myself sane and busy during the past few months. My adjustments have involved live-streaming my DJ sets, exercising at home (pull up bar and lots of push-ups!) and now taking care of a new puppy that I got last week.

I’m really curious what everyone else has done to modify their routines in the past few months? Have you been exercising more? Eating lots of comfort food? Learning something new?

Please let me know in the comments below what you’ve been up to!

Oh, and here is a bonus picture of my puppy, Mochi, so that you can all appreciate how cute she is :D

I’ve been keeping busy in so many ways. Here are just a few that come to mind:

  • Daily dog walks with Greta and Boris
  • Exercising as best I can with fitness coaches on Youtube
  • Weekly delivery via DoorDash every Friday
  • Reading a bit more
  • Getting back into playing the piano
  • Spending time outside on the back patio after work with a good magazine
  • Baking random things
  • Making more adventurous dinners

Every week I feel like I pick up something new and/or put down something else. I’m constantly trying to figure out what I should be doing to keep my sanity. It’s harder than it looks!

Curious to hear what everyone else is doing too.

Agree with you @khumphrey  & @freydrew!  At the beginning of lock down I wasn’t keeping up a routine but I’ve been focused on that the past few weeks and it does help.

Mainly, everyday I try to:

  • Get in 10,000+ steps -- via walks with my pup, of course
  • Read, even if only for a few minutes. I just devoured Normal People, but I’m also working my way through the tome-like biography of Willem de Kooning.
  • Cooking & Baking - I just made this divine cake: https://barefootcontessa.com/recipes/lemon-yogurt-cake

Hope everyone is staying safe and sane during these wild times. <3
