So this has happened several times tonight that every time I try opening steam webroot says there is a virus. It first started when I was already in steam and I can't remember exactly what happened but IRRC it said a virus was on my computer and needed to do a scan to get rid of it. It did that and then I tried going into a game (tropico 5) and it just got stuck in the process of opening the game and nothing happened. I tried exiting out of steam and going back in and then, it said it was downloading a patch for steam and webroot said there was another virus. I let it get rid of the virus and then exited out of steam and then tried again and the same thing happened and did that a few more times. I then tried restarting my computer and waiting about an hour (because i was doing other stuff) and then I tried going into steam and the same thing happened. Its never finished downloading the patch because I've been exiting out of it before it can do that but it also seems to be taking longer then steam usually does to download a patch but that might just be my imagination. Everything else on my computer seems to be working fine.

Hi Ivan1

Welcome to the Community Forums.

May I ask where you are downloading the the items affectted from? If it is from a 3rd party site or from the author's web site? If from the former then I would strongly recommend retrying but this time from the later as what you are trying to download may include 'extras' such as PUAs (Potentially Unwanted Applications) which is what WSA is detecting, rather than malware per se.

If  that does not help then the best thing to do would be to Open a Support Ticket, so that the Support Team can investigate  and look to resolve the issue for you, as the other possibility is that the detectionsare false positives, and that therefore some    files need  whitelisting in the Webroot Cloud.
