I had a computer tech call my home and tell me that I had hackers on my computer , with him being one of them and me not knowing what to do , he guided me through the system and took over my system . I am slightly worried that he has been doing bad things and I am not sure that webroot can protect against that kind of hack !

It sounds like you have unfortunately been the victim of a scam. So the first thing that I would do is to run a scan with WSA to see if it picks up anything, and if it does then I would immediately Open a Support Ticket, in which you should explain your circumstances, what has transpired, that WSA has flagged something up, etc., so that the professionals can investigate for you. This service is free to all WSA users with a valid/active subscription.
If the scan comes back 'empty' then I would still raise the support ticket as no one can tell, without a detailed look, as to what has been done to your system and if any of that is in any way nefarious.
Also, do review the system to see if it is in anyway behaving in an abnormal way; I do not know how technically proficient your re. PCs but hopefully you can spot if something does not 'feel right', and you can add that to the Support Ticket detail.
I would try to keep anything that you usually do that involves your personal data, keying in of any credentials/passwords, especially to banking or financial sites, until you have run the scan and contacted Support. Whilst WSA should protect you it is just possible that because they have had access to your system they can have tried to bypass WSA's protection; again, without someone in the know, i.e., Support, investigating we cannot tell.
For future reference you should treat any unsolicited call from anyone purporting to know that you system is hacked, has malware on it, etc., as a scam. Ask yourself the question'how would they know' and the answer is they would not hence it is a scam. That is different to you contact Webroot for SUpport and them responding/asking to take over your machine...here it is in response to your solicitation, and so most likely safe.
I would get that Support Ticket open ASAP, and please do keep us informed of how resolution is progressing. If we can help further we will do our best to...but this one is really one for the Support Team...IMHO.
