WebRoot is trying to charge me an additional $89.00 for something that I have already purchased. So I can't install your protection and I entered my new product code, still you want $89.00. What do I do? Tommy

I purchased the webroot system from walmart instead of renewing my current subscription. I am only covering the 1 computer.
I followed the instructions and put in my new key code and low and behold web root wants to charge me another $89.00.
Can you help? I know that the system I purchased is cheaper than the renewa price but I still should be able to apply the sale price from walmart toward the purchase from you. I feel like I have been duped, if you don't want to honor the walmart sale then you should not sell your product through them.

Hello tmilliga,
If your previous licence (keycode) has expired and has no days left, then it would be necessary to do a clean install. It's very easy and fast with SecureAnywhere.
Or you can Submit a Support Ticket to add the new license to the old one, or delete previous keycode. Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks.
Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely!

- Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-C584
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish its install scan
- Reboot once again
Thank you for being so kind in your replies, since my correspondence was so curt. I am thankful for your patience and guidance. I still have 10 days before my subscription runs out so I am opening a support ticket.
Thank You Again Sincerely
Tommy

Hi tmilliga
Welcome to the Community Forums.
If I may interject here... believe that what you are seeing is due to the fact that you have 'renewed' by purchasing a new subscription/entering a new keycode. Doing so does not deactivate the replaced keycode subscription, so in effect you currently have TWO subscriptions running; your 'previous' one which still has 8 days to run and the new one that you are currenlty running under.
And my view is that the request for payment comes from the 'previous' subscription that is about to expire.
Unfortunately, we volunteers, in the Community have no access to the back office systems of Webroot that control this. The only thing that you can do is to follow Dermot's advice and open a support ticket to raise this with the Support Team, and hopefully they can adjust the back office systems accordingly.
I hope that this is of some assistance?
