Is it absolutely necessary to uninstall my soon to be expired version of Webroot antivirus before I install a new one, or when renewing? If so, how is this done? Thanks! 🙂

Hi pattikate1
Welcome to the Community Forums.
If the version of WSA that you have installed currently is post 2011 (whichI will assume that it is) then the answer is 'No'; there is no need to do so at all as Webroot run a contnual improvemnet programs and release the updates/changes to the installed client incrementally. These are 'pushed' to users and happen so silently that often one does not even know that they have occurred.
If you do a 'real' renewal, i.e., if you add additional time to your subscription, and there is NO new keycode involved, then the current subscription should just extend/the number of days shown as avaiable should increase.
If however you undertake a 'pseudo' renewal, i.e., you purchase a NEW subscription and you are provided with a NEW keycode then you will need to enter & activate the keycode at the appropriate movement...and we can provide instructions on how to do that as and when required...if this is the case for you then just let us know...it is simple.
Hope that helps?
