I was directed by tech support to uninstall and then reinstall Webroot. I have the installer WSABB2. I also have my keycode. Do I also need the serial number?
I was also wondering....should I diconnect from the internet before I do this? And do I shut down Webroot before I run the uninstaller from Add/Remove programs?
Lastly, does anyone know the support number for BestBuy. Just in case. There is a customer support button, but it is not bringing anything up on the webpage that it opens. Just a blank screen.
Thanks

Your keycode is all you need to reinstall
Make sure you are online when you reinstall
Uninstall Webroot from the add/remove control panel while its still running
I don't have the BB support number to hand but hopefully you wont need it :)

Just make sure you download the Best Buy version. See my link below for the download 🙂 The Serial Number will not be needed, it is only used for account identification by Best Buy.
Stay on the internet during the uninstall and the reinstall.
If you need to contact Best Buy, the number is 1800-GEEK-SQUAD

Thanks. I reread the instructions and I see that it is saying to use the uninstaller on the start menu in the webroot ools folder.
Glad I asked first. I would have assumed that I should disconnect from the internet and stop the program before uninstalling. I felt almost silly asking.

After the uninstall, I would suggest you reboot the computer, get back on the internet, and then re-install. (If you uninstall while NOT connected to the internet it will not release that license seat correctly. In the event you have that key code installed on the maximum 3 devices, this causes a bit of a problem. The same can be true if you have already uninstalled twice while not connected to the internet.)
Thanks for your help. I am back up and running. It made me a little nervous at the end. It was running a scan and then it disappeared. For a second there were two icons on the task bar, plus the red x by the flag telling me the firewall was off and I needed an antivirus. I reopened the W icon and the panel showed some things turned off. And it said the scan was aborted, but it also indicated that it was doing some system thing and would be done soon. And then in a little while everything was activated.
I saw the page for Geek Squad help works now. Before I just got a blank page.

Glad everything is up and working again! Feel free to drop by any time you have a question or a problem. There are some things we can help you with, though of course for some things, like billing, you would have to call Best Buy instead.
