Question

Webroot Blocking all Nividia Product Updates

It appears that Webroot is blocking all of my NVIDIA product updates with error code:  0x80070005.  I have added every “.exe” file in all of my NVIDIA Corporation folders to the Webroot “Allow” category to no avail.

Where can I see what exact files Webroot is blocking so that I can fix the issue.

If this will be an issue of blocking without an opportunity to override the block in the future, using Webroot will waste my time and lose any functionality for me.

There’s a lot of people reporting on that link that uninstalling Webroot solved the problem to the update. Still probably be best to contact Webroot Support so they can figure this mess out.

I was having a lot issues updating Nvidia and I shut down Webroot and was able to install the latest Nvidia app/driver. I can no longer use or get GeForce Experience on my Alienware 15R6 because this program/app has been disabled as Nvidia has taken over by having everyone install GeForce Now from their online Cloud takeover.  That's what I'm seeing ....

Yes it is Webroot as I updated my newer Alienware 17R5 and NVIDIA wouldn’t install so I tried turning WSA off that didn’t work so I uninstalled WSA and it installed fine then reinstalled WSA very weird. It could be the WRYES module?

This is what I get with Webroot Installed no error code just failed. So Uninstall Webroot reboot then install NVIDIA Updated Drivers then reinstall Webroot I will report.
