I just purchased an HP AMD Ryzen 3, and along with it, Webroot internet security w/ antivirus protection. When I try to download the software, I'm prompted to switch out of S mode (which I won't be able to return to), or find a similar app in the store. How do I correctly download the software I purchased without messing up my brand new computer?

Webroot will not run in S mode as you can only install apps from the Microsoft Store so you have a decision to make either Upgrade to Windows full version or not to use Webroot.
I thinking what your seeing is the Web Shield for the Microsoft Edge Browser but again you would need WSA installed for it to work: Web Threat Shield - Microsoft Edge Addons
