Windows Download

After installing the Webroot Internet Security file, when I logged into my Webroot SecureAnywhere account, I click on Windows Download and it tells me that my Windows 10 is in “S” mode and that i have to download a similiar app for the windows download of my Windows 10 hp device. Because my computer is already protected by Microsoft Windows 10 that came with my brand new device, is it necessary for me to switch out of S mode and/or download a similiar app compatible with my device or are there other options?

Thank you,

Tonya H

Hello @Thamlin391

Your Windows 10 is an S version so it might cost you more money to upgrade to the Home or Pro versions so have a look here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-10-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307

And here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-in-s-mode-faq-851057d6-1ee9-b9e5-c30b-93baebeebc85

Webroot will not install on the S version of Windows 10 because the S version can only install apps from the Microsoft Store. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/windows
