3 days ago Adobe reader failed and gave a message saying the .dll in the title was not available. I couldn’t fix that after trying for hours. I finally restored my entire C:\ from a backup I had from June.

Everything worked although some files I had created since June were missing.

Today I am back to getting that same message from Adobe Reader.

I went to UN-install Adobe reader, sorted by date of install and discovered that yesterday

Firefox had installed “Mozilla Maintenance Service” and “Mozilla Firefox”.

My Webroot scan does not report any problem.

This is a Windows7 Pro system.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,

Dan

Hello @GalaxyDan

Not sure because I haven’t used Windows 7 in a long time but I found this: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/download-install/kb/error_on_launch.html and look at the Win 7 link in that.

And here for the Mozilla Maintenance Service  https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-mozilla-maintenance-service
