Cannot Connect to Servers

I bought a new HP computer with Windows 8.1 and I can't connect to Google to add my email account.   I'm sure it's something simple but I am not able to figure it out.  Can someone help?

    Hi bizzibee, are you saying you can't connect to Google? Have you looked into
    Control Panel, Internet options, Connection Tab, LAN settings at bottom of window and unchecked Proxy Server box. Not sure if this is it or not..maybe someone on the Forum can assist you further...

    Hello can you tell us if you have WSA installed and the version you are using? http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/compare Also what Browser are you using and this link https://www.gmail.com/intl/en/mail/help/about.html works fine for me so can you check to see if your using the correct link?
