I am unable to run a Webroot scan or even open the Webroot app on my pc.  I can see that the last scan was run on 13/08/2020, so it does not appear to be working at all in the background.  My license has recently renewed - is it anything to do with this?  I can see when logging into webroot via the web, that my license is active.

@joannecham ,

Did you make any major updates or changes to your computer or operating system recently?

The first method of troubleshooting would be to run a complete uninstall and reinstall of Webroot. Can you follow these instructions and let me know if that works for you?

Windows uninstall: https://answers.webroot.com/webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=12&ruleid=1067

MacOS uninstall: https://answers.webroot.com/Webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=17&vw=1&app=vw&solutionid=1252

Hi,

I installed an Outlook encryption email - which I have since deleted and apart from that, it is the normal Windows updates that have taken place.

I have done what you have asked via the link.  It comes up with a message saying “It is necessary to log in as an administrator to access this feature” when I click on the uninstall button?

@joannecham ,

What do you mean you installed an “outlook encryption email”? Do you mean you downloaded an encrypted file from outlook?

This sounds like something you may need to tackle with support. They can be reached here: http://webroot.com/us/en/support/home-contact
